I am the President of Seabrook Security District, my name is Leonard McCollum Jr. for those who may not know me. I am asking for your support in providing transparency in the City financial reporting requirements, concerning Seabrook's fees collected by the City. Please see attached, Councilmember (Cm) Harris ordinance # 33,893 date September 15, 2022, she needs our support. Neighbors with this ordinance, the City financial department will be mandated to follow Required Reporting guidelines. Neighbors without the passes of this ordinance, I can't assure you that your Security tax dollars are being properly accounted for, due to the City consistently refusal to provide base accounting information to the mangers (Board of Commissioners) of Seabrook who oversee such funds. As a result, Seabrook Security Patrols may be affected and I can't continue as oversee of your funds without your help, I know everyone is busy and let someone else do the labor. If you want Arm Security Patrols at a full-time schedule, please take the time and sign the roster supporting Cm Harris ordinance, if you are not able to scan and send back, let me know and I will stop at you home for your signature. City Council public meeting is scheduled for April 6th and without public involvement it may be Withdrawn, I believe this is our last stand to request transparency on our taxed dollars, so if you are available Thursday, April 6th at 12pm at City Council Chamber your present will say a lot. Hope you will take out a few minutes of your busy schedule and help us continue to have a strong presence of arm security in our neighborhood, by signing the roster and contacting your City Council Mr. Eugene Green at eugene.green@nola.gov and ask him to support Cm Harris ordinance #33,893 Thanks and don't hesitate to contact me for more information.
